POSITIVE ADOPTION LANGUAGE DISCLAIMER:  Please understand that these blog posts are written in a way to use language that people use when searching for help with their adoption plans.  Unfortunately, while all of us understand what positive adoption language means, most expectant moms that come to us at first do not understand what that means. The most common search term on the Internet for expectant moms is “how do I give up my baby for adoption”.  If we do not include those words in our blog posts, and instead put “how do I create an adoption plan for my baby” then our website will not show up in most expectant moms’ search results in Google.

If you give up your baby for adoption, or more accurately, make an adoption plan for your baby, through Kirsh & Kirsh, your baby will NOT go into a foster home. Many years ago, local adoption agencies placed children into foster care before allowing the adoptive parents to assume custody of the newborns, but Kirsh & Kirsh has NEVER had a policy of using foster care prior to permanent adoptive placement, in our 35+ years of handling newborn adoptions, involving many successful adoptions, nor do the local adoption agencies and national adoption agencies follow that procedure any longer. The birth mothers who contact Kirsh & Kirsh want the baby’s new parents to begin bonding with the baby as soon as possible. In fact, many of our birth mothers insist that the adoptive parents or, at least, the adoptive mother attend the labor and delivery. Some even want the adoptive parents to cut the baby’s umbilical cords. Hospitals in Indiana will give the adoptive parents a room, subject if one is unoccupied, to care for the newborn whenever the birth mother wants them to do so. Of course, all situations are different as are all birth mothers, but foster care is NEVER part of a Kirsh & Kirsh arranged adoption.

We have lots of wonderful, carefully screened, loving families (married, single, Lesbian, and Gay) who cannot wait to welcome a baby into their hearts and homes and are happy to assist with living expenses to the full extent allowed by law.
