Answer: Whatever works for you! We, at Kirsh & Kirsh, tailor each adoption to the needs of the birth mother and adoptive parents rather than handling all adoptions the same. As long as the arrangements meet all ethical and legal standards, we will facilitate each adoption in a way that puts the parties most at ease. We know planning an adoption causes stress. Nothing we do will make adoption EASY, but we can make the process EASIER by being flexible. Accordingly, if you want to “meet” with us by Zoom, FaceTime, telephone, email, text, or any other manner that allows us to share information with you and you with us, we will make the arrangements in that way. Very importantly, remember that NOTHING a birth mother does prior to signing a consent to adoption, which she cannot do until after she gives birth, obligates her to proceed with an adoption – no matter how she chooses to communicate with us.
If you would like to explore adoption, we, at Kirsh & Kirsh — or the “Kirsh Boys,” as the adoption attorneys at Kirsh & Kirsh are sometimes called – Steve, and his brothers, Joel and Rob, and his son, Grant, have 100 years of combined legal experience arranging adoptions and pride themselves on answering questions about adoption and explaining the process without pressure or judgment.

POSITIVE ADOPTION LANGUAGE DISCLAIMER: Please understand that these blog posts are written in a way to use language that people use when searching for help with their adoption plans. Unfortunately, while all of us understand what positive adoption language means, most expectant moms that come to us at first do not understand what that means. The most common search term on the Internet for expectant moms is “how do I give up my baby for adoption.” If we do not include those words in our blog posts and instead put “how do I create an adoption plan for my baby,” then our website will not show up in most expectant moms’ search results in Google.
